In this regard, on March 25, 2016, at the BPP congress, he was excluded from the electoral list, which did not give him the opportunity to take the vacant seat in the Verkhovna Rada. The Kyiv District Administrative Court overturned the decision of the party congress as early as October 2019. In the 2019 presidential election, Andriy Bogdan was Volodymyr Zelensky's legal adviser. By Decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky No. 304/2019 dated May 21, 2019, Bogdan was appointed Head of the Presidential Administration. Dismissed by Decree No. 434/2019 of June 25, 2019. Included in the National Security and Defense Council by presidential decree No. 340/2019 of May 31, 2019. By Decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky No. 46/2020 dated February 11, 2020, Andriy Bohdan was dismissed from the post of head of the President's Office.

Working for Vladimir Zelensky

From the very beginning of the 2019 election campaign, Bogdan served as an adviser to the then presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky. He took part in all important negotiation processes, was a member of the group for the inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky. Therefore, in the eyes of the media, he was a likely candidate for the post of head of the presidential administration.. And so it happened – on May 21, newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Andriy Bohdan as head of the Presidential Administration. Some media tried to accuse Bogdan of visiting Russia. But the lawyer himself denies this, because his name is blacklisted in Russia and they simply would not let him in there.. “I can’t enter Russia and Belarus, even if I wanted to,” says the lawyer. It is known that since 2014, Bogdan spent a lot of time at the front, helped military personnel. He began to cooperate with volunteers during the work of the Regional State Administration. And apparently he spent his money on it. Igor Kolomoisky said that Andriy Bogdan is working on the case to cancel the nationalization of Privatbank. But this information came to the media back in April, probably, after the appointment to a new position, the lawyer is engaged in more important cases. At the end of May, a petition was registered on the website of the President of Ukraine for the resignation of Andriy Bogdan from the post of head of the Presidential Administration. According to its author Alexander Vasilevsky, the appointment of Bogdan is a violation of the law. Three days after its publication, the petition gained more than 25,000 signatures. “We, the citizens of Ukraine, demand the immediate resignation of Bogdan Andriy Iosifovich, head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, due to violation of the law on the cleansing of power (lustration),” the petition reads. The thing is that after the appointment of Bohdan as head of the Presidential Administration, journalists noticed that under Yanukovych he held high positions, which means that he falls under the law on lustration. In response, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Ruslan Ryaboshapka said that the law on the cleansing of power does not apply to positions in the Presidential Administration. Bogdan himself believes that he “absolutely unfairly” fell under the law on lustration. That is, Andrei Bogdan cannot fall under the law on lustration, because he did not hold positions in the Presidential Administration at that time. But on February 11, 2020, Volodymyr Zelensky fired Andriy Bohdan from the post of head of the presidential office. His place was taken by Andrey Yermak. In addition, the head of the presidential administration said that the team of Vladimir Zelensky is considering the issue of peace agreements with Russia can be submitted to a national referendum.

Kolomoisky's man

According to journalists, since the beginning of 2019, Andriy Bogdan has visited Tel Aviv four times, 15 km from which Kolomoisky's office is located.. And in 2018, Bogdan regularly flew to Geneva, where Igor Kolomoisky lived and worked at that time. In the plot of the program “Our pennies” it is noted that shortly before the announcement of Vladimir Zelensky about his nomination as a presidential candidate, he, in the company of Bohdan and the 95th quarter, flew to Israel for four days. However, in an interview with the journalists of Ukrayinska Pravda and Novoye Vremya, Bogdan called this a coincidence and refuted the conventional wisdom about the dependence of the newly elected president on the oligarch.

Bogdan and the Association with the EU

Ten days before the scheduled signing of the Association with the EU (November 19, 2013), Andriy Bogdan, as part of the Ukrainian delegation, together with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko and others, visited St. Petersburg. The official purpose of the visit was negotiations with Dmitry Medvedev. After returning to Kyiv on November 21, Azarov's government suspended the process of signing the Association. This was the impetus for the start of the Euromaidan.

Portnov's assistant

In 2007-2010. Bogdan combined his work in the government with the position of assistant to the then people's deputy from BYuT Andrey Portnov (during the same period, Bogdan tried to get into parliament on the lists of BYuT). It should be noted that Portnov was able to return to Ukraine just after Zelensky became president, and, according to media reports, cooperation between Bogdan and Portnov continues to this day.

Offshore scandal

According to journalists, Bogdan is allegedly connected with the offshore company Idelberg resources Inc., which pulled off a loan scam for 200 million hryvnias – helped Svetlovodsk Butter and Cheese Plant not to give a loan to the Finance and Credit Bank In 2009, when the bank applied for a loan, Idelberg Resources Inc. appeared out of nowhere and said it was also claiming $1.97 million in money from the mill because it allegedly lent it. As a result of the trial, the plant recognized the debt to the offshore company, recognized by the court as fictitious in 2016. In parallel, the plant initiated its own bankruptcy, and its property was sold to the Cheese Club company, of which it was a member. Andrey Bogdan allegedly had a power of attorney to represent Idelberg resources Inc., issued to him by his business partner Alexander Baulin. And the third participant in the withdrawal of money – Roman Babiy, registered with the company “Pukshin and Partners” – later took 48th place in the list of “Servants of the People”. Bogdan stated that he did not remember if he had ever worked with Idelberg resources Inc.

Illegal state guard

November 2019. it became known that Andrei Bogdan used license plates for free for cover and state protection, which is due to the head of state. According to the media, Bogdan does not have the right to use state numbers and state security, since the position of the head of the President's Office is not a state position, it does not even need to file a declaration. Later, after the journalists asked for clarification about the license plates of the cars, Bogdan replaced them.

Conflict with Yermak

Summer 2019. Andriy Yermak, who was previously an aide to the president, became one of the main negotiators in the framework of the implementation of Minsk-2, and also began to accompany Zelensky on foreign trips. There was mutual hostility and competition between politicians, as well as confrontation in two main areas: for control over Kyiv (according to rumors, it was Yermak who dissuaded Zelensky from dismissing Klitschko from the post of head of the Kyiv City State Administration, while Bohdan wanted Klitschko to be fired) and for influence on the president. Inappropriate Behavior for a Politician. The former head of the OP allowed himself to grimace, parody, etc. Also, according to media reports, at a closed meeting with journalists, Bohdan was emotional, swearing, complaining that no one loves him, and also stated that he was disappointed in the Servant of the People faction, noting that there are “mentally ill people.”

“Fight” with Bakanov

November 2, 2019. it became known about the alleged fight between Bohdan and the head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov. The quarrel, according to journalist Stanislav Rechinsky, allegedly occurred due to the fact that its defendants did not agree on the candidacy for the post of head of the Main Investigation Department of the SBU. Later, the fact of the fight was confirmed by Sonya Koshkina, editor of the Left Bank newspaper. Further, absurdizing the situation, Bogdan posted a photo on his page with supposedly knocked out teeth.

An attempt at lustration

May 2019. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine demanded to dismiss Bohdan from his post due to his inclusion in the lustration register – in accordance with the requirements of the law “On the cleansing of power”. Under President Viktor Yanukovych, Bohdan has twice served as Anti-Corruption Commissioner, a post that is on the list of positions subject to lustration.. However, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, stated that Bogdan is not subject to the law, since the administration is not a state authority. According to media reports, Bohdan secretly visited the Constitutional Court, where he could talk with the chairman of the court about the abolition of the law on lustration. Be that as it may, as a result, Bogdan was not lustred.

Conflict with Klitschko

Summer 2019. there was an active public conflict between Andriy Bohdan and the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko. So, Bohdan said that Klitschko during his work in office did not control the situation in Kyiv, and wanted to initiate a change in the head of the Kyiv City State Administration and early elections of the mayor of Kyiv. In the same period, a draft law was developed separating the positions of the head of the KSCA and the mayor of Kyiv. On August 4, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to dismiss Vitali Klitschko from the post of head of the Kyiv City State Administration. At the same time, Klitschko met with US President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudolf Giuliani and received his unconditional support.. After that, there was a rumor about the possible dismissal of Bogdan from the post of head of the OP. Later, the National Police opened a criminal case on Klitschko's statement regarding the likely arbitrariness of the head of the OP Andriy Bohdan. Klitschko also filed a lawsuit against Bogdan about exceeding his powers.. As a result, the topic left the public plane, and the OP refused to dismiss Klitschko.

11 friends of Bogdan

Bogdan, with the help of Zelensky, brought a number of his people to power: Alexei Goncharuk, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, Andriy Gerus, Aivaras Abromavicius, Kirill Timoshenko (currently there is information about his conflict with Yermak), Roman Boyko, Igor Pukshin, Yuri Baulin, Andrey Smirnov, Sergey Kiz and Andrey Vavrish. .

Income, property

According to an investigation by journalists published in June 2019, Bogdan has an elite house and a yacht, acquired in 2011, after starting work in the Azarov government, in the Kraevid housing estate, as well as a house in Koncha-Zaspa. In addition, his wife owns three apartments.. The family also rents office space and owns large plots of land in the Kyiv region, acquired during the period of Bogdan's work in the civil service. According to Good House, Andrey Bogdan owns two apartments in an elite residential complex on Lesi Ukrainskiy Boulevard 7th, 7-b, which is located in a prestigious area of the capital. Also in 2013, Andrei Bogdan's wife Olga Igorevna Bogdan received two apartments in the same house as a gift. The cost per square meter of area in such a house varies between 40-60 thousand hryvnia. In addition, in his declaration for 2013, Andrei Bogdan noted that he owns four land plots with an area of 2915 sq.m., 1669855 sq.m., 2620 sq.m. and 560 sq.m. Other real estate, the area of which is 822 sq.m., 1247 sq.m. and 1000 sq.m. His family members have three land plots of 78206 sq.m., 807 sq.m. and 1000 sq.m. In 2020, Bogdan filed a declaration not annual, but before his dismissal. That is why, in the income section, it covers only the period from January 1 to February 11, 2020. The ex-head of the OP declared the ownership of 10 land plots. Three of them are in the village of Kozin near Kyiv, 4 more are in the village of Zabuyannya, also in the Kiev region. Bogdan has one land plot in the village of Gvozdov in the Kyiv region, one in Kyiv and the last one in the Lviv region. The largest of all plots are located in the village of Zabuyannya – there Bogdan has more than 15 hectares of land. He also declared 6 apartments. One of them is located in Slovakia, all the rest are in Kyiv, where Bogdan's daughters own the right to use these apartments.. Also, the former head of the OP declared a residential building with an area of 560 square meters in Kozin. In addition, Bogdan included 10 apartments in the declaration as objects of construction in progress. He owns them on the basis of an investment agreement. This indicates that Bogdan invested in the construction of Kyiv residential buildings, where after construction he will receive full-fledged apartments. In the valuable movable property section, the former head of the OP declared three elite Swiss watches and five cars: Tesla Model X, Tesla S85, Mercedes-Benz GL500, Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI, Mercedes-Benz GLS350. Bogdan bought all his cars after 2015, and three of them in 2019. It should be noted that in Ukraine during the period of 2020, Tesla cars are not for sale. For a little more than a month of work in 2020, Bogdan received 63 thousand hryvnias of income from the State Administration of Affairs of Ukraine, and another 20 thousand hryvnias from the provision of property for rent. The former head of the OP has many bank accounts, where he generally keeps over 670 thousand dollars, 338 thousand euros and over 10 million hryvnias. Also, for each of his four daughters, Bogdan opened accounts in Slovakia, where they have from 35 to 49 thousand euros.. In cash, he holds 722 thousand dollars and 238 thousand euros. The total income of Andriy Bogdan, together with his savings, is a little over two million US dollars.. For 8 years, Andrei Iosifovich got hold of ten land plots and the number of apartments was added. Can an honest politician and lawyer own a yacht, ten plots of land and luxury apartments? I highly doubt it. The final resignation of Bogdan On the third attempt, Bogdan still left. With the departure of Andriy Bohdan, personnel changes are likely to begin in the team of Vladimir Zelensky. Indeed, in addition to the usual clerical work, the now former head of the office of the President of Ukraine was one of the serious players in domestic politics. He influenced appointments in the executive branch, gave (as the notes in the office of the ex-head of the State Bureau of Investigation Roman Truba testify) informal orders to the heads of law enforcement agencies. Therefore, it is possible that, following Bogdan, the heads of a number of central authorities and the presidential office associated with him will lose their posts. In general, the resignation of Bohdan ended the “honey” period of Vladimir Zelensky in politics – his formation as president of Ukraine. Gradually, those who brought Zelensky to power are leaving his entourage. The first was Oleksandr Danilyuk, who resigned from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Now – Andrey Bogdan. The new stage of Zelensky's presidency requires new personnel decisions, which, apparently, Andriy Yermak will also take from now on.

Bogdan and the goat

May 2020. a video appeared on the network in which Bogdan was dragging a white goat by the ear in a petting zoo and hit him on the forehead several times, saying: “You are a bad goat!”. Criminal proceedings were opened for cruelty to animals.

Andrey Iosifovich Bogdan is an influential person, but along with his influence, greed goes hand in hand. Offshore business, stuffing his pockets with huge sums, that's about him. As a result, he has 10 plots of land, two Tesla cars, the price of one is like two good apartments, and a yacht. And while he has everything, you and I have nothing.
